After an impressive performance at UFC 227 by the UFC Bantamweight Champion T.J. Dillashaw the question is who should he fight next after putting a stamp on his rivalry with Cody Garbrandt.
An option which has been suggested is the champion vs champion fight with Cejudo. However this option was much more attractive and lucrative if Demetrious Johnson had retained his title in the UFC 227 co-main event. Cejudo should defend the Flyweight title against Johnson in an immediate rematch depending on how quickly Johnson recovers from his injuries after saying he broke his foot and tore his LCL.
No doubt T.J. would love to hold two belts but would a bigger payday and the chance of getting one back against Dominick Cruz sway his decision. Cruz took the Bantamweight title from Dillashaw in a split-decision back in January 2016 in his comeback fight before losing it to Garbrandt.
One of the most interesting options however could be the Brazilian standout Marlon Moraes the former WSOF Bantamweight Champion has been very impressive in his last three. Firstly beating the very talented John Dodson in a split decision, then going on to knock out Aljamain Sterling in one of the most brutal finishes of 2017. However his last performance against Jimmie Rivera was the most impressive where Moraes ended Rivera’s (20) fight win streak by knockout in the very first round!
